Why should I pay to use this service when there are other sites that do the same thing for free? +
Running a reliable and privacy-focused service costs money. By charging a small flat fee per draw, we can ensure that the service remains sustainable, secure, and free of ads or tracking. Unlike some free services, we do not sell your data or send any marketing emails. Your privacy and a smooth experience are our top priorities.
Will the emails end up in spam? +
Modern spam filters are complex and depend both on the content, metadata and sender of an email.
In addition, many organizations automatically filter out emails from lesser known domains (such as
secretsanta.email).
When you first enter your email address, we send a single test email to confirm that we can reach your
inbox.
If you don't receive that email, we will provide some tips on how to improve deliverability. Please make
sure
you are able to receive the test email before proceeding with the draw. But note that we cannot
guarantee
deliverability to all email providers and organizations, even if the test email is received.
Can I participate myself? +
Yes! Just don't forget to add your name and email to the list of participants.
Can I view the assigned gifters and receivers later? +
Yes. After completing the draw, you will receive a link where you can view the assignments for up to 7 days. After that, all data is permanently deleted. You can also delete the data immediately using a button on that page.
Will you save my personal information? +
The information you provide (your email and the participants' names and emails) is stored securely for up to 7 days to allow the Secret Santa draw to take place and for you to view the assignments. After 7 days, all data related to the draw is permanently deleted from our servers. You can also delete all data before the end of the 7-day period using a button on the assignments page. Will you send marketing emails to me or anyone at my company? +
No. We do not send marketing emails to you or anyone at your company. Our only communication is related to the Secret Santa draw you create. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
Is it safe for me as an IT admin to whitelist the domain secretsanta.email in my organization's email filter? +
Yes. secretsanta.email is not used for any other purpose than to send Secret Santa emails.
